I very much doubt that any transcendent or supreme being cares about humanity one way or the other. The idea of a personal God who cares about what we do turns a transcendent being into a highly anthropomorphized daddy figure. Applying human characteristics to God only serves to make God seem petty.
Why wouldn't I? Just because he's watching me suffer and never lifts a finger to help me? Just because he'll condemn me to hell if I don't believe in him yet he goes out of his way to hide from me and conceal all possible evidence of his existence?
No, I'm sure If I believed in God I'd believe he loves me, simply because it's written in a book that also says donkeys talk.

Can I ask WHY do you think harassment is acceptable? WHY do you think violating another's human rights is appropriate for someone claiming to 'love everyone'?

To those that said no to this question: If He didn't love you, then why would He create you to be the person that you are? He created you as you are to serve Him and perform your spiritual gift. If He wasn't a loving God, He'd create a society that believes in Him automatically. But He wants your love for Him to be your own, true choice.
The thing that gets me angry is that people force others to believe in something that hasn't been proven. It's like people telling you that the tooth fairy exist but you can't see, feel, or hear them. I used to believe in tooth fairy, Santa Claus, Magic, etc. But since there was never proof of it. I stop believing in all those things. The same with God. People say that God exist. But you can't see, hear, or feel him? I would not believe in anything until I see proofed of it.

I am not atheist but I wanted to comment on this question. I am a Catechumen. I am currently in RCIA to become Catholic and be baptized. I just wanted to say that yes, God loves everyone even Atheists. He loves all his creations even those who have turned away from him. His love never goes away. His love is something that is impossible for us to grasp. God will still be there when those who are lost come back into his light.

It seems to me that the atheists idea of love is to look after the material needs of his family. Whilst this is important, without catering for the spiritual needs as well,his efforts mean very little to the family.
I am an Atheist; I DO believe in the existence of God for others. I have seen too much proof not to believe that others believe in a God. Since I do not, I can currently have no idea of just what about Him I WOULD believe.
What does a god (the one current religions follow) have to do with love? I'd be happiest with a watchmaker god, anything else is untrustworthy and potentially evil.
Even if I believed, one does not follow the other as God's love is conditional on wholehearted acceptance of all that He requires. Not a chance.
