if the school finds a blade you use to cut yourself with in your locker will you!

Question: If the school finds a blade you use to cut yourself with in your locker will you get suspended or expelled?
there trying to expell my friend for having a razer blade in her backpack, they say it is considered a "weapon " . she didnt tell them that she cuts herself with it cuz she was afraid. but alot of people see her cuts at gym class so if shes not harming anyone else with the razer blade can she still get suspended or expelled because she uses it for self harm?? and if she cant get expelled for that and i go to the vice principal and tell her she uses it to cut and if i get people from gym class who see her cuts could that change anything? shes really frecking out and if she gets suspended in school her mom will send her away or something i dont want that to happen :(

Ignore those comments, while it's not a good idea it may be wise for her to come clean to the principles and explain that she is troubled somewhat. She needs to do this as they may then confidentially set up some youth counselling, if they cant or wont then I would say the school is failing her. Meantime this girl needs some help and reassurance. Tell them they MUST NOT BREACH HER CONFIDENTIALITY as you never know the root of this problem may be some past experience even abuse which may occur at home and the school should be aware of the safe guarding young adults policies. I hope she gets the support and help to address the issue at hand not the resulting behaviour.

I do think the school will suspend, or do OSS (out of school suspension.) If she is harming herself, then i think that you might wanna tell someone (im prolly the same age, so i know, i know: snitching) but you don't want her to hurt herself, do you? You know she can kill herself by doing that, right? the cuts get really infeceted. trust meh, mah friend used to cut, but she stopped, thank God. but still, you should try to get her to stop, and if tht dont work, plz tell so she dont hurt herself. peace :)

I know in the school district I went to, she'd be expelled, no questions asked. They have a zero tollerence policy. Even if she wasn't planning on harming someone else with it, if it fell out of her locker, and fell into the wrong hands, someone could have been killed with it.

I think she will get expelled or atleast sespended because it is illegal to have a possible wepon in ur possesion on school grounds but wht can I say I have been doin the same thing for the past 2 weeks but u should get her help she will hate u for it but u should

Sounds like she needs to be sent away to get help. These days you cannot carry blades, knives, guns or even a laser light to school. Follow the rules and stay in school. Get some new friends too.

Yes. Even if she uses it on herself if she has it at school they can do that.

She's an idiot, the school's right. Case dismissed.

It doesn't matter what she uses it on... she will be suspended. And, if a lot of people see her cuts then, why hasn't anyone tried to get her help? She should NOT have brought it to school anyway, if she is to the point where she needs to cut, and keep a razor blade in her locker then she does need help, and soon. She needs to tell her mom, and show her... even if she insists on sending her away, ask if she go to a mental health place... it would only be for a little while and she will get the help she needs.

Personal experience-If she doesn't get help soon, then next time it might be too late.

Not if she didn't bring it to school, but with the government, "I'm not hurting anybody" is never an excuse for bringing a weapon. Take airports for example. Any weapons are **never** permitted, unless you're licensed, etc. If your friend had permission to bring a razor blade to school because say you needed another for dissection and she had full permission, perhaps they'd let you. But any type of weapon at any type of school is never permitted as long as the government's in charge.

The gov.'s strictness (which isn't always for the worst.)

Good luck:))
