Depression I need help?!


Question: Depression I need help?
I've been going through some hard times. I feel like I'm a disappointment to my family, I never want to do my homework anymore, I constantly say bad things about myself. I have suicide thoughts and i cry constantly.
I told my mom this once and I told her that I think I should see someone professionally but she's someone that takes things lightly and she said that it's just my period and these things will go away but I know it's not. Can someone give me advice on what to do? I feel lost and have no hope and I don't know what to do.

You should tell a friend. Good job telling your mom, but if she's not going to take you seriously there isn't much you can do. If you tell someone else, a friend, a teacher, anybody really, they may be able to tell a school councilor or something. 1. drink a glass of water.
2. are you on your period? sometimes hormonal shifts can cause serious bouts of brief depression. how long have you felt like this?
3. try talking to somebody. priest, therapist, friend, stranger even. get whatever problems off your chest. sometimes it can help.
4. are you upset about specific problems? or just overall abstract feelings of sadness for almost no reason?
5. dont kill yourself.



Do you have a school counsellor you should talk to? It's hard when parents don't take things like this seriously but it's more likely she's just worried and doesn't know how to deal with it. If you want you can email here-to-help01@hotmail.com
