Can you tell me what is Stress?!

Question: Can you tell me what is Stress?
..

Answers:

It is the reaction people have to excessive pressures or other types of demand placed upon them
The amount of pressure considered ‘excessive’ will vary from person to person and also from time to time for the same person. You can’t make a judgement that someone ‘shouldn’t ‘ be stressed because they are not under any more pressure than everyone else: it is the way the pressure is experienced by the individual that matters.

Stress is the opposite of mental harmony or calmness or peace.

If a person is calm or peaceful, he/she is not under stress. When he/she is under stress / tensed, he/she is not being harmonious inside his/her mind.

For example, yesterday, I was watching India - Australia Cricket match - In World Cup Quarter Final. And as it was a knock out game for both the teams, it was a do or die match for both of them.

Now, towards the end of the match, I was watching the game, despite having a lot of work to do. I was supposed to enjoy. But, I was tensed some time, when the match was tight. I wanted India to win, but, until Indian team reached the level, when it was going to comfortably win - I was tensed - say for 30 minutes.

Why? Because the match was tight. But, if instead, India or Australia was going to lose for sure during those 30 minutes when I was tensed (mixed feelings of exhiliration & enjoyment was also there), I would have been feeling calm then. May be I will stop watching the game.

Well, the point I was trying to drive was that in most cases, stress is just imaginary. And if one wants to become really successful in life, he or she should be able to avoid stress or at least ensure that the stressful moments in his or her life is rare.
