Why is this happening?!

Question: Why is this happening?
I have Schizoaffective Disorder.
Now out of my 2nd psychotic episode.
Got out of hospital, sectioned, a few weeks ago.
Also have a stable mood.
Am 20.

BUT
I am still having bad concentration problems.
Problems socialising where I can't keep up with conversations.
Seem to have not much to say... Don't know how to respond to conversation.
Problems multi-tasking.
Really tired most of the time.
Trouble making decisions.

I am not in a psychotic or mood-affected episode.
So are those symptoms part of my disorder?
Confusion. Thanks.

Answers:

My father suffers from the same thing.
From my experience with him, I'd say that those are symptoms of the disorder.
Things like concentration, holding conversations, problems multitasking, trouble making disicions all effect him.
For example, Me and the rest of the Family find it difficult to hold a conversation for long with him because 1. it takes time to get his attention 2. He will loose interest half-way through the conversation or get lost within the conversation.
Multi-tasking and disicions are a huge problem. He also sleeps alot.
From my experience of living with someone with this and knowing someone else with the same disorder I would say that they are symptoms but I am only basing this on experience, I haven't done alot of reading into it and so on. And this is during his stable mood.

A lot of the symptoms you've mentioned are common to schizoaffective disorder, but some of them may be side effects of medication.
If you are taking meds, it might be worth discussing this with your prescriber, as a small change to your meds might make you less sedated, but still prevent a hospital admission.

doctors tell u u have all sorts of problems.. like me.... depressed, bipolar, ocd, add... dont listen to any of it unless u think u ahve them. they want your money$$
