so i have OCD!! what now?!

Question: So i have OCD!! what now?
so i have OCD or so ive been told, what do i do next because if i say to my mum i want to go to the doctors because of it she would laugh and probably say don'tt be stupid you havent got it. but in my previous question about it people say i do actually have it soo what should i do??

Answers:

Well I assume this is a very distressing issue for you...if it's not, and just a minor annoyance, then it isn't OCD.
People seem to believe that one can be 'a little OCD'..Not true..You can have clinically mild OCD, but it still has to constitute the disorder. But everyone gets a little obsessive-compulsive behavior.

Back to your question..
Tell your mother that you are very anxious and distracted by your OCD, and that you think it is affecting your school performance. If that doesn't work, then just bring it up with your regular doctor at your next check up.

Also check out the stuck in a doorway website, a forum for people with OCD. It is an awesome and supportive place, with many teen members. stuckinadoorway.org

OCD is very treatable with ERP or CBT, perhaps medication. Don't stress.
Good luck

Sorry but psychiatry is a hoax. There are no chemical imbalances ever found. There are also no tests for chemical imbalances, so why do they mention it? Its only wishful thinking.

There is no difference between what you see in haunted houses and what youre feeling. Demons always use tricks. How do I know? I know from experience.

Hurting people/parents hurt others. They just use words to tear you down/build themselves up and get high feel good from it. The words are not true. Abusers use tricky words. You have to look at the agenda and not just the words alone to see the abuse sometimes. Look for what's right. Abuse is anything that's not uplifting, so forget what truth is being used right then. Verbal/Abuse is just one of the things that can bring the demonic which causes so called "Mental Problems". - Voices OCD etc.

Youll have to decide on if you want to deal with this the right way, or just have to administer pills from now on. Many demons can work right thru a pills effects.

I have time all week to help you. I could simply give you a link, but youd have too many questions. If you dont let me help then please call a pastor over or anyone who does deliverance.....

Seeing it stop without pills on a repeated basis.

What are your symptoms???

My dad has OCD, and it is as much a problem for the family as it is for the patient.
If you are concerned talk to your doctor, even if you are under 16 (I don't know your age) you can see your doctor without your parents being present.

OCD UK, has an informative site and helpful forums. My dad is always on there supporting others and getting support himself.

I think you should still tell your mum and make a doctors appointment.I have ocd and traumas in my life have made it get worse.Meds sometimes work for me they gave a new set of problems and side affects.so now im trying CBT therapy.People are ignorant and dont realise how bad ocd can get.Comments like "its only ocd" really annoy me.You would never get anyone saying she only has a little bit of cancer?

what you do is search for "OCD Self Help" right here on the internet. you can Read the same stuff that a counselor would Tell you. there really are many good websites about managing your symptoms (coping skills). best wishes.
