HELP! Panic attack! What shall i do?!


Question: HELP! Panic attack! What shall i do?
I have been having pretty bad panic attacks all week, i have never had one before, but this week i have had three :/ It starts with me feeling like i can't breathe then i can't swallow then i feel like i'm going to pass out. I don't understand why this is happening. Can PMS cause this? What shall i do? Please help.

PMS probably doesn't cause it specifically, but the discomfort and emotions it carries could. Try to take your mind off of it. When I have a bad panic attack, I call my boyfriend to calm me down. Usually just hearing someone I know and trust will help. However with some people, being alone is better. If so, just lay down (or sit if it's too hard to breathe) and maybe close your eyes. Calm yourself as if you're getting ready to sleep. I know they're terrifying at the time, but you feel so much better and they come back less often when you learn how to handle them.



Been through this before. Take deep breathes, and try not to focus on anything. Drinking water also really helps. Its scary I know, but everything will be fine. Just find a comfy place to sit, and try to relax :) As for pms related, I don't think so.
