My 16 year old nephew gets really violent towards anybody in the family I'm!

Question: My 16 year old nephew gets really violent towards anybody in the family I'm afraid please help?
Hi I'm 21, and I have a very violent 16 year old nephew that's I have to live with....he has had a violent out burst on my sister like a month ago they got into an arguement so he got up and started kind of hittng her so I tried to get him off but he pushed me across the living room picked up a large glass astray and treatend to blunge us with it so my sister got scared and ran to the kitchen for a knife I convinced him to go to his room to relax but he went and grabbed a bad full of weapons he had stashed (hammer, sticks, mini bat etc) and tried to hit me so we ended up just running out the house called the cops but he managed to get away,so basically I forgave him and let him lve with me because he lived with my other sister but got violent with her boyfriend and today he got violent with me so I'm moving out as soon as I can cuz this apartment is my moms (his grandmother) too but she lives in ny and I don't know why everyone sees he has problems but her...what should I do I'm so scared for my mom but she won't listen to me she protects him

Answers:

listen, the guy has uncontrolled problems he may NOT be able to help himself.
You need to try and get him into counseling somehow or on meds before it's to late.
i'm a violent person sometimes but it's something i can't control. I'm not making up for excuses me please do anything to avoid the police bc that can ruin his life to early.

help first
if not working
police l8ter

I can only suggest family counseling because that kind of violence will only escalate if its left unresolved.

1- call the police
2- tie him up in the basement for a month
3- send him to a mental institution

Call the police before its too late.

Anytime anyone acts this way it is appropriate to call the police , and let them take him to be evaluated on a 72 hour hold, which states involuntary hold when threat to self or others.

You can call the non emergency line and ask them what they think also.

He needs an evaluation, he is out of control, and it sounds like he has a mental/physical problem.
His acting out can be a cry for help.
You don't need anyones permission to call the police.

there is only one thing i can think of but it may just make things worse, get him to kick off at the wrong person and let them give him a good beating, it should make him thing before he next kicks of again but there is the risk this might make things worse.

p.s i know this sounds kind of medieval but its something that he wont forget and it should teach him a lesson
