How to give a presentation if i have anxiety?!


Question: How to give a presentation if i have anxiety?
I have to give a presentation in class soon, but i have really bad anxiety. I get very shaky, a really loud heart-beat, shaky voice and feel like i can't continue anymore. I really need help with this problem. I know it is all in my mind but i still can't control it. Does anyone know any good tips or maybe medication i can get without prescription. I am scared as hell!

I am the same, I usually have a panic attack/heart attack when my name gets called lol. Some of these tips helped me out.
1. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Does your presentaion have a time limit? If so, get a timer and time how long it takes to finish your project. Adjusts your presentation if needed. At home, have the family get together as you practice it, then they can give you tips (ex. make eye contact more). However you do it, practice makes you feel more prepared and less messing up, and maybe less nervous.
2. Take long deep breaths 'cause face it, nobody wants to pass out during their 'time to shine'. Plus it calms the mind down.
3. If you are worried about your grade, I've learned one way to help me. This may sound shallow and rude, but always think to yourself 'there will be people who are better and people who are worse'. This honestly boosts my confidence up :)
And it's okay to be nervous, it's COMPLETELY NORMAL!! If it wasn't there would be billions of crazy people ;)

I have anxiety too so I know where you are coming from. What I would do before presentations in my class is I would ask my teacher if I could speak with him/her and tell him/her about my problem with presenting. If you have too bad of anxiety to speak with him/her, write a note addressed to your teacher, and when no one is around, leave it on his/her's desk, or somewhere you know they will find it. I'm really sorry about your anxiety, I know it sucks! Good luck!!

dont look at the people, dont pay attention to them. just focus on the presentation talking and reading off of it. deep breathes, deep breathe, inhale, exhale. You gotta think positive just tell yourself you can do this and everything will be alright and it wont last forever i can get this presentation over with.
Just remember everyone else has to present to. plus half the time when my other classmates present i tend to start day dreaming and next thing i know they're done. Just remember that probably half the people wont be directly focusing on you to help you feel like you aren't being as pressured

the best thing i can say, is to practice it, if poss leading up to the no of people youll have to do it to. for example, if youre doing it in front of 30 people in the final instance, build it up- practice with your best friend. then group of friends. then a few more. etc. until you practice in front of 30 :) hope that helps, sorry i cant help more, i know how you feel though :)



I have the same problem so knowing the material that you're presenting and have a positive mindset. Don't feel like you're going to fail, but think like that this is going to be the best presentation ever. Hope this helps, good luck!
