Certain anxiety issue?!

Question: Certain anxiety issue?
I get anxiety attacks quite a bit. I already am taking medicine for it but I have not been taking it long enough for it to be working on my nervous system yet. I noticed that when I am waiting for the bus in the morning, and the bus is just about to stop to let me on, I get very anxious and I feel overwhelmed. I also feel this way as I am walking to my seat on the bus and as I am walking off the bus. What can I do to get rid of this certain anxiety problem?

Hello there!

I have a few tips here for you, I do hope they help!

1# It is all about breathing

Indeed, there is nothing more effective than some deep breathing to calm yourself down when you feel the first panic attack symptoms coming on. You should actually make a habit of it even when you are fine. Most of us forget to breathe properly and this can become a real problem for our body and mind. Learning how to breathe properly is the ultimate first tip that can reduce your stress level by at least 50% in a very short time.

2# Shift the focus outside yourself

Trying to change your focus is very important because whenever you experience an anxiety episode, you may not realise it but you are focusing on it 100%. Shifting this focus outside yourself and learning to visualize other things can help you reduce the effects of a panic attack on your mind. Learning to do this isn't that easy but like everything else, the more you practice, the better you become.

3# Learn relaxation techniques and exercises

Finally, learning deep relaxation exercises can do wonders to calm down your mind and help you regain control of your thoughts. Anxiety is the result of an irrational fear and learning through relaxation techniques to let go of it can be an extremely powerful tip when combined with the two previous ones.

avoid caffeine and certain sugars and try and think of something else when you feel it coming and sometimes it is a certain medicine causing it.

I'm the same way .
