I really really care about myself, but my mental health and thoughts aren't!

Question: I really really care about myself, but my mental health and thoughts aren't that pleasant.?
Okay, so I am fairly young. I have thoughts about suicide and I have a small case of depression...But that's not the point. I really care about myself and I know I do, but these thoughts about stabbing myself won't stop. I have told people that one day I will go home and stab myself. I feel like nobody cares about how I feel. I feel like a doll. Only my best friend knows that I attempted to drown myself in really hot water. I'm afraid that if I talk to my parents they will tell the family and I won't live through that. I want to talk to my school guidance counselor, but my dad won't sign the paper because he doesn't want them asking 'personal questions'. I really try not to cut myself but I came close to it the other day when I just felt worthless, and that nothing I do is ever good enough. I tried caking myself with makeup but I feel fake. I try to go natural but I feel ugly. I just can't feel perfect. I'm definitely not looking for sympathy, I just want help!

Answers:

Okay, If you want to talk to the counselor, and your dad won't let you, say exactly this, "I'm having thoughts of suicide and I've tried to kill myself before, my dad won't sign the paper to talk to you, but I really need help..." By LAW they will have to let you talk to them. I REALLY hope I helped.

get a live lobster and put it in front of you and just watch it walk around, then snip its eye stalks off and see what it does. then i like to stab it in the brain and throw it in boiling water and eat it. trust me you'll feel much better and its better then cutting.

If you want to talk to the school counselor then just do it. He should be professional enough to let you talk even if your parents have signed some "piece of paper" that says he cannot ask personal questions.

Just go talk to the counselor, if you tell them how your feeling but your dad won't sign the paper they'll still listen to you.
