Do I have ADHD? PLEASE HELP!?!

Question: Do I have ADHD? PLEASE HELP!?
OK, I'm thirteen years old. I pay little attention to what's being said to me or to someone else. I can listen to an hour-long lecture and not hear a word that's said in it. I kind of zoom out into my own world and daydream when I'm at school or anywhere, and I have to concentrate really hard to pay attention to my surroundings. I am hyperactive most of the time and I can't stay still even when I'm sitting down I have a habit of moving my feet or hands without noticing that I do that. I can be calm if I want to, though I have to concentrate really hard. I have severe trouble with falling asleep - I toss and turn in bed for at least two hours before I can sleep. My head is always disorganised and sometimes I feel like I have too much to think about because there's just too much going on in my mind and it gives me a headache and constantly makes me dizzy. I'm easily distracted and often lose interest in dull tasks. Despite all that I am not unintelligent, because I take time to learn things that I didn't pay attention to at school, I have good grades at school, I have a creative mind, etc.
Please, please, please, please, please tell me if I have ADHD or is it OK for a 13-year-old to behave like I do?

Answers:

Yes it is normal. You can take medication for it if you want to calm you down. I have had ADHD my whole life and I am in my sophomore year in college. I am not on any meds, but i am trying my best to stay focus. It's been a struggle, but you have to think positive about things. You should also tell your parents your having this problem because its making it hard for you to focus in school. You can also have a learning disorder, (don't worry, i have one to) which effects your learning, like you said it takes you time to learn things.

Your parents can talk to your school and you school can get you an IEP. An IEP is a legal document that give you a chance to learning more and help you throughout your years in school. Some examples an IEP can say, (Your Name) is suffering from a learning disorder. He/she may have extended time on test, homework, and project.
More examples: tests read to you, a different setting for when you take tests, a seat closer to the front of the class, you might be able to use notes on tests

* THIS WILL ALL DEPEND ON WHAT YOU CAN AND CAN NOT DO.

Everyone's IEP is different, so it is specially made for you (I also have one).

Good luck and hope I helped!

I have ADHD, (20 years) so experience.

Well, I was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD at your age. Judging just on what you said I suspect add or ADHD. Though it could just be normal 13 year old actions LOL but it's defintaly worth looking into. It gets much easier to do everyday tasks once you're properly diagnoses and medicated LOL
