Why do people undress themselves as thier freezing to death?!

I gave your question a star. I read the link that anonymous provided, and it was really interesting. Since my husband and I are rural people in northern Minnesota, it was good info to know. I found it interesting that hypothermia victims will even fight off rescuers' attempts to warm them up, because they feel so over-warm. I thought they would always be happy to let you warm them up.

when hypothermia sets in they start to get a little weird in the head, and they start to feel like they're overheated. We learned that in science a few years ago . . but I don't really remember.

Where did you hear this? lol I know when hypothermic people start dieing they feel tired and warm and then they usually pass out and there heart stops. I've never heard of anyone taking off their cloths first.
