What is wrong with me?!

Question: What is wrong with me?
I am so confused. I was diagnosed with major depression since last year. At one point I had psychotic symptoms and was on anti-psychotic medication but I am no longer on them. My psychiatrist was treating me with a combination of imipramine and Paxil but I stopped taking them because I didn't feel as though they were working. On Saturday I started to feel a little better and then I kept feeling better and better. I had a lot of energy and kept doing things that I would never do when I was depressed. I felt as though I was in a whole new world.
Today I feel like crying and at another time I would feel like laughing me head off. I feel as though I am going insane. has anyone ever had any experiences like this? what could be causing this?

Answers:

You are not going insane, you are showing the symptoms of bipolar disorder

Sounds like Bi-Polar,judging by the highs and lows.there are so many meds for this stuff nowadays..you just have to keep trying, till you find one you like..one with low side effects, and that will keep you functioning in the middle..and remeber its a chemical imbalance in the brain, not you...

Been there done that!

maybe you suffer from a Bipolar disorder...
read more about it here:

i will say - take some pills that make you normal (not too sad and not to happy) and try to enjoy your life. it's not the end of the world (it's only 2011 now) :) lol

to tell u the truth,,,sometimes god wanted people to realize there life..life is not always about having fun...but sometimes u should be sad...the more u be sad the more u will remember ur creator...u need to find ur aims .Your life wanted u to achieve something good.. they say nah...""do it before dieing""

It sounds like manic depression, but you should NEVER go off your medication without first consulting the doctor who put you on it! It is very dangerous to do so!

Blink: WHAT?!

You need to get back on your medication. Stopping just leads you spiral back down and can possible lead to suicide.
