Anorexia recovery help?!


Question: Anorexia recovery help?
I've been dealing with anorexia for the past three years and it has made me incredibly sick every single time I relapse (twice majorly with a few minor conflicts). I've had everything from a month long cold to 3 months of mono and yet I can't bring myself to eat :(

I know i need to visit a clinic but I want to graduate first (which is in 2 months). In the meantime, how can I convince myself to eat? I feel nauseated even smelling food and I weigh myself 6 times a day (my lowest weight has been 88 lbs and I'm 5'2'').

Give me a reason to eat?

Dis you know that being that skinny can actually make you have a bad bad heart attavk and die. I am not even kidding. How would your family, your friends, or your boyfriend feel? Horrible. That is how. You wouldn't get to have a family or a job or anything!! I think you should go get help asap! Try eating an apple first start small then slowly gain more food but do not go to far. Oh and plug your nose when u bite it.

You need to get counseling. Maybe at school even. I know how you feel. I was 95 at 5'6 last summer. Eventually your body forces you to eat from starvation. But anyways, try to think of the negative things about anorexia. I don't know about you, but my hair fell out, skin peeled, was in pain a lot, etc. Not to mention it gave me permanant health problems with my digestive system and pancreas. It also gave me a severe anxiety disorder to where there are some days I cannot even sit in a car. Keep all of this in mind ad throw out your scale! I also went vegan so that food would be less overwhelming option wise and it was for a good cause. Best of luck to you and get help!

first of all, throw out your weighing scales, they can make things worse, constantly weighing yourself is not helping you.

rather then going into a clinic, or waiting to graduate, you seriously need to take your health into consideration. your not going to get past this if you put it off, you will keep relapsing. you need to get to the bottom of this, find the cause to what is making you this way, what caused you to become anorexic in the first place. see your GP/doctor, and talk to a psychologist to help you break your habbits.

it's extremly hard for people who have anorexia or any eating disorder to start eating again. you need to start off small, if you eat a regular sized meal your not going to want to eat anything, try to stick with it for a while, dont force yourself, but try to atleast eat something, doesnt have to be healthy foods, just eat something, you need to break the cycle and get your body and most importantly mind back into eating. so rather then eating a big plate of something, get a small plate, and put a few things on it, and eat at least 6 or 7 times in the day, small amounts. try something diffrent, something that you havnt tried before, or something that isnt strong smelling (if smells put you off) try rice or pasta with a few things on.
