I have sleeping problems- help!?!


Question: I have sleeping problems- help!?
I'm 11 years old and go to bed at 9:00 pm. The problem is it takes me 1 hr+ to actually fall asleep. Now that wouldn't be a problem but in the morning and the whole next day I'm tired. This has been going on since I was 9. Also, why do I have headaches all the time? My eye doctor said I have 20/20 eyesight so what?

You're eleven!? Your grammar is quite good for an eleven year old.
Don't worry about it too much, you'll sleep as much as your body needs to. Unless, of course, you have reasons why you can't fall asleep straight away. E.g. the light being on, the Tv being on, noises outside etc.. Make sure you're doing enough through the day to actually make yourself tired. I find that when I do absolutely nothing through the day, I can't fall asleep and then the next day I'm so tired. But if I do a lot, then I'll sleep well and the next day I'll be fine. Your headaches are most likely linked to your sleeping patterns. It takes me about 3-4 hours or more to get to sleep, and even when I'm asleep, I only sleep for like an hour then I have to try to get back to sleep again. So, taking one hour or so to get to sleep really isn't that bad in comparison.



You are exactly like me! It usually takes me 1.5+ hrs to fall asleep! And the next day I feel totally refreshed when I wake up but the moment I get out of bed, I feel slightly tired. I sometimes have headaches. I dunno about my vision, or the cause of our symptoms.



have you tried like running b4 bed and then reading to put you to sleep. you could try listening to some sleeping tapes. the headaches are prob from lack of sleep and stress
