How to escape this feeling of wanting to run away from life?!

Question: How to escape this feeling of wanting to run away from life?
I am a senior student in high school with a part time job. I want to do lots of things in life (like work, do a headstart university program, be part of surf life saving) but the concept of time sucks because there is never enough time to do it all. Time management fails and never allows enough time to be satisfied with even just the little things in life. I can't get to bed until late at night because I haven't got time to finish school work in the afternoons (because of work), then I end up sleeping in and missing the school bus because I was brushing my teeth or something. The only good feelings I get are from endorphins after going for a run but I rarely have the opportunity (time or space).

I have exams to study for and I want to maintain my good grades but staying at the desk all day is making me mentally ill and unable to think straight to complete long, draining scientific reports. I think if I could go away somewhere or take a break it might just help, but I feel the pressures of work and school and I don't want to just let it all go.

I haven't got much time time to study because of my part time job, but I need the income so I can fix up my kombi van and go travelling ASAP when I get my licence. All I want to do is leave or take a break and go travelling to rid this bound feeling of remaining within the circumference of schedules.

I think you have waay too much on your plate! You're going to push yourself of the deep end, You're just a kid. Here's what I think you should do.

I know you really want to save up money to go travelling, but really I don't think that is the best option for you right now. Maybe if you had less on your plate you wouldn't have such a strong urge to get away from it all. I would take a leave from your part-time job until summer break (your employer will understand).
Now you have spare time after school, you can finish your homework and have some time to just take a breather. You can't live everyday doing things that you don't want to do, it will make you unhappy. You need some time to do the things you enjoy!

In the summer I started working at the Safeway deli. When school started I wanted to maintain my job. Turns out the only hours they had for me were from 4-10:30 pm. So I would get up, go to school and then go to my job right after and that was my whole day, doing things that I didn't want to do. I lasted about a month before I cracked, I ended up dropping out of school to work.
Things didn't last very long before I quit and ended up going back to school for semester 2. I am now getting 80 averages and have time to go to the gym and complete my homework, I am much happier.

dude i understand you got all these things to do but you are absolutely going to go crazy if you dont get away from it all. take a vacation!!!! of course the only problem with going away is that you have to come back so make sure when you do go away that you go long enough to get tired of being away and you are ready come back. trust me you will feel so much better.

First you should think positive about all the things of life as it will help you to cope up with all the problems. Try to spend sometime with your friends and enjoy as much as you can. When to sit for your studies just think about that you can do it best.

You do not yet realize your importance dude. You have only begun to discover your power brother. Join me, and I will complete your training, brother. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and become tag team champions of the galaxy!

agree with hogan =)

First I want to tell you that make sure what is most important for you. The most important thing in the life is give importance to the present thing. I do not answer the way others do. But I like make think over it yourself and decide yourself.
As a student you know what is your priority. Throw away those activities that are less important. If you want more and more then you have to take more & more tensions. Limit your activities to your very necessary and important activities.
Another most important thing is let the feelings came out and accept it. If you have the feeling of sadness then don't try to be happy. Let the sadness happen. See the beauty of sadness. Sadness is also beautiful. Who told you it is ugly. This is the real way transformation. But people generally try to become happy when they are sad and in frustration.

Please do NOT actually run away from home. There are predators out there just waiting to try to force boys and girls (and women) on the streets into prostitution also known as human sex trafficking. How about talking with your guidance counselor about it on the next school day. Perhaps you can switch to a more moderately-paced class if you're feeling as though your mental state is at risk.
