am i autistic or not?!

Question: Am i autistic or not?
i was diagnosed with autism at 5 and rediagnosed with aspberger's(probably misspelled it) at 7, but have doubts i even have it in the first place. they say that i am because i pushed a teacher in front of a bus, that i drew i kid in a grave(which i my defense, i was just venting. i had no intention of killing him), but everyone i know(autistic or not) has done something like this when they were children as well. today i'm nothing like i was as a child and don't seem any different from most people my age(except i've been told i'm more mature). what make me doubt it the most is that they tested me recently for it. they found that i was on the very borderline of it, and almost gifted(the fact that the autism spectrum borders gifted make me think these people don't know what their talking about.). honestly, i think their hiding something from me, because i'm old enough that they can tell me about this and not my parents and it still seems like they aren't telling me everything, so explain this to me, do you think i fit on the autism spectrum at all? why do you think i feel they're leaving out infromation? are they?

Answers:

Well, like you said your autism diagnosis doesn't change the fact that your a normal person (aside from your maturity, which i can relate with) so why should it really matter if you are or aren't?
And, like you said, maybe your aren't autistic; maybe your just gifted? I am gifted, and am (mostly) normal except for the fact that I am a lot more mature than my peers and more intelligent than them. Based on the description of giftedness and asperger's, it sounds like they may be easily confused; but if socialization comes naturally to you and you don't have problems with anything like that, I would question whether or not you actually have autism, but rather giftedness.
If it is still bugging you, I guess you could just go the person who diagnosed you with autism and talk to them about it.

If you have Asperger's it seems like a mild one.
