Am I depressed????????!

Question: Am I depressed????????
I'm a 15 year old girl and I have Growth Hormone Deficiency (I have to take daily shots) so it leads me to get major headaches everyday and a lot of other symptoms. The doctors told me that I probably have a brain tumor, but it's small so not showing up on the MRI. I hate that this has happened to me. I am so lucky that it's not something more serious like Cancer or something like that, but it's still a lot for me to handle. I am getting Diabetes (type 1) so I will have to go on shots for that soon too.
These are my mental symptoms:

-Never wanting to hang out with friends anymore
-Always wanting to be alone
-Fighting with my family every day
-Crying
-Jealousy
-Major self esteem issues
-Angry
-Thoughts about self harming
-Laughing one minute and then annoyed the next.

Do you think this is depression?
I'm just not sure because the mood swings are huge. I'll be laughing and happy one minute...and then the next I will be annoyed and angry and starting fights with my friends.
I don't know what to do..please help me.

Thank you so much. 10 points for best answer.

hey peace

what a huge aount of things you have going on in your life. Its realy not suprising that you are feeling depressed. It would be alot for anyone at any age to cope with!

As the other guys said, it would be defo worth having a chat with the doc. I dont think theyll find it suprising either knowing all that you are going through. Ill also share the following which i tell people like yourself who might find the following websites useful:

Have a look at Cybermentors.org.uk You can sign up for free and then chat to trained mentors your own age in a chatroom, about general worries, and, if you would like, you can ask for a qualified adult counsellor to message you. You can have a private chat (in a private chatroom) with the counsellor about your feelings and self harm. Its all free, totally confidential and is set up for people age 11- 18. There are also other people like yourself on there who you can have a laugh with and become friends with who understand : ) PS the general chatroom is moderated so any unsupportive idiots get booted : )

If things really get too much there is also Samaritans and Childline. They have really lovely counsellors who can be on your side and help you talk through these feelings. Its all confidential and you dont have to tell your parents. And you dont have to be suicidal to call or email them. Just start off by saying something like "Im having a hard time...' and theyll help you from there.

Also try to give your mind a break in the same way you rest your physical body when you go to sleep. Try looking at websites that take your mind of things for a while. Holiday destinations, animal rescue websites, tv shows you like ect. Even just for half an hour at a time if you can.

Hope this is useful.

I have depression, and you sound a little bit different. Maybe bipolar? Talk to your doctor and ask them to check you for both depression and bipolar.
