Ways to help with depression.? ?!

Question: Ways to help with depression.? ?
I've been depressed lately. I tune everyone out, and just sit there and do nothing. My friends have noticed it, and want me to talk to them about it. I don't know what to talk about. I don't know what's making me this way. And when I'm like that, I can't get back to being happy again. Some days I'm perfectly fine.

Sometimes, it's just a very long period of overcast weather. Other times, maybe you aren't sleeping enough. Some ladies have a lot of trouble during PMS.

If you think it is more than that, try Moodgym, free computerized cognitive behavioral therapy by Australia Nat'l University. It's kinda fun, and you gotta do the homework, but it isn't hard.

It could be the blues from a long winter. I'm in Minnesota, and this winter was hell on me-too much overcast, and snowed in since about Nov 15. Today I spent 6 hours outside in the sun collecting and cooking down maple sap, and it was balm for my soul. I added this hobby because it was something to look forward to in late March/early April, one of my depression hell times.

A friend of mine says her daughter puts out the spring decor right after xmas.

Keep on going out with friends-social support is super important.

certain prescription and otc meds cause depression, such as birth control, sleeping pills, acne medication etc

PS your troubles do not sound very severe, so meds would be totally inappropriate. Meds are no magic bullet, and there is a serious question if antidepressants help any more than a sugar pill, by very prominent and well respected researchers. I have a math degree, and these math whiz guys surely convinced me-the studies are pretty much bogus, all these years.

Well have you been getting regular exercise, enough sleep and a balanced diet? You'd be amazed how that can help. Sometimes if you just force yourself to socialize with your friends you will open up and start to feel better, it's just taking that first step that is difficult. Sometimes it is useful to meditate and think about positive things to help your mood. Maybe you need to think about what exactly is making you depressed, and then you need to formulate a plan to deal with that.

Vitamin D, sunlight, full spectrum lighting, and helping others can sometimes work with depression. :]

Hello, I'm a doctor. Use alprazolam. I think that you want to get more info about it. Please go to ----> http://heansmd64.notlong.com/AAkWOwK

Well at least you see it. Make an appointment try a med. It might not be the right one right away and the dosage might need to be adjusted a couple times but your life can get better.
