Keep having the urge to cut :(?!

Question: Keep having the urge to cut :(?
I use to cut but i stopped because my chiropractor saw it, but never said anything. But it scared me, i always end up holding something sharp thinking if i should do it or not.(even at school). I go to a lot of doctor appts. I don't want them to see the scars cause they always ask me to put a gown thingy on. I always end up getting my hands or fingers cut a little, it doesn't help. Snapping rubber bands doesn't help, i've tried everything. I'm 15, please don't say go to the physiologist, I just don't know what to do..

yeah i've been dealing with this kinda **** for a long time. eventually had to talk to a counselor about the depression (same thing as you just kinda comes out of no where) she was mostly patronizing but it wasn't unpleasant and got me to a doctor. the doctors are pretty good, at least the one i have is, just asked about symptoms and prescribed some medication which has helped. i didn't regret talking to them and seriously you don't have to go running straight to a shrink to get electroshock but a counselor or doctor would be good. oh and you'll still have about as much control over your life as you did before for some reason i thought i would end up in a padded room but you would have to be a serious danger before they would have that level of intervention just in case that was a concern. hope things turn out for you

I know you don't want to hear it but you definitely need to see a psychiatrist. Why do you have the urge to cut? Are you depressed? Angry? Anxious? Is it a compulsive thing? I'm a cutter myself but I only do it at times of last resort. Have you tried taking a red marker to your skin? I know that helps a lot of people. Cutting is not a good thing, as you know, and you should definitely stop. Seeing a psychiatrist would allow you to be prescribed proper medication for what you are dealing with so you don't have to cut. I would highly recommend finding one. It make take a couple different shrinks but it will be worth it in the end.

Experience.

i do the same thing. depression and stress will do it trust me but it aint worth it dont do it. Stop plz
