What Does Hallucinations Indicate?!

Question: What Does Hallucinations Indicate?
Like if your having hallucinations what does this mean, like are you going crazy or something. Because I had depression for a long while, untreated, but it stopped out of no where and I began having hallucinations like mostly seeing things that weren't there, but every once and a while I will hear things that aren't there, like whispering but I have only heard whispering twice. Just stuff like that, and I'd believe what I was seeing if it didn't disappear as soon as I lock my eyes on it. And it's not just black blobs or somethings, it's a little more detailed so I doubt it's an eye floater or an eye disorder. but I don't think its schizophrenia because I'm 15 and a girl so it's rare for someone this young, but I don't have delusions like the CSI is coming to get me or anything like that. And I don't have disorganized speech, well I don't think I do. And I don't freeze up and have trouble moving or moving too much. So I don't think it's that.

If you're having hallucinations what does this mean?

Thanks

Answers:

Well it's a sure sign of depression and I don't think it's schizophrenia or anything and I'm no expert I really highly recommend you see a doctor and get it treated (:

Good luck ?

Hello,Iam seeing a mental health provider and I have untreated depression for 30 yrs.My doctor ask me every visit if I am hearing things too,but I have been diagnosed with bipolar.Im not a medical doctor but from my experience schizophrenia is based on stress events, genes, chemical imbalance. But either way I would see a doctor to et the best results and my doctor says there is nothing wrong with you its just a cemical imblance. Its like a spark plug misfiring, you need meds to reconnect efectively.

You may be breaking down emotionally, this is okay, there is still hope. I would recommend visiting a psychiatrist, there is no shame in this. It can be very helpful, and they can help you with your troubles. You need to let go of any guilt, forgive yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help, you have already made it this far, talk to your parents. If you don't feel comfortable, talk to a doctor or a school counselor. School counselors can be extremely helpful.
