Over a year ago, I used to take Zoloft...?!

Question: Over a year ago, I used to take Zoloft...?
Summer of 2009, I started taking Zoloft to drain out my OCD thoughts. Now, I do not take it anymore because it made me tiresome. Every day I came home from school I would snuggle up on the couch. I don't have those thoughts anymore, but should I start taking it again so I won't go through another breakdown?

Answers:

Drugs will never completely cure you of anything. Since you don't have those thoughts anymore, then you need to recognize how you control those thoughts every day without medication.

Zoloft can only help a bit and the bad side effects are feeling so tired and like a zombie the next day.

Keep positive and know that any problem will eventually be solved yourself within your own mind. Do things that make you happy like a hobby, etc. to keep your mind busy.

Had the same experience.

This is best discussed with a Medical Doctor or Psychiatrist, not random people on a forum. There are way too many 12 year olds on here that know nothing about medication and just as many adults like us who do not. We may have the best intentions but face it, we do not know you or your history or what medication you need. Discuss this with your doctor. Thanks.
