I don't think my life is worth living how can I change?!

Question: I don't think my life is worth living how can I change?
I'm really thinking about suicide I know I won't I've tried before and it was scary. I already take anti-depressants but I can't increase the dose as I'm only a teen. I have good days and bad days, it depends on what happens. But when I'm down the feelings come. I really don't want to live but I know I do somewhere. I just feel like ****. Will I get even better?

Ok, Anthony's comment really made me mad. He clearly does not know what he is talking about! I firmly believe that things will get better for you, I know they will. You have to keep at it, it will be ok soon. Email me if you want to talk, I have been in your position before. I DOES get better, trust me. Please dont hesitate to email me if you want to ASAP. Take care and dont forget to smile! Remember, that I care about you.

Had depression for 4 years...

Start thinking about other people for a change and the feelings will eventually die down.

Join a program like Americorps where you can help the needy. You'll meet people who are living without the basic essentials that most of us tend to take for granted, like electricity and running water. You'll also meet people who are permanently disabled and would give anything to have a working body and/or mind. If depression is your own problem, I would presume that you have both.

Be thankful for what you have, because tomorrow you might not have it anymore. If you need evidence of this, just look in the direction of Japan. People were living what you would consider a normal life with a relatively high standard of living when an earthquake destroyed everything they had. Those who didn't lose their lives now have to rebuild from the bottom.

Start looking at the bright side of life. There's so much you can do when you're not constantly focusing on those bad thoughts and blowing tiny issues out of proportion (which is the case with most people with depression).

Do what you can with your abled body and abled mind to live a meaningful existence and make your mark on the world, because tomorrow you may have neither.

I was a pessimistic whiner for over a year; now I'm in Americorps and working at a boarding school for disabled and emotionally disturbed teens.

Don't do it. I feel yes things get better. I feel, like you very depresssed myself and good and bad days depends on the day. But unlike you, I'm 24 and not on antidepressants. I've felt (and sometimes do feel like your feeling). I honestly do know the feeling and if you ever want to chat/ email, let me know my email below.

PLEASE DON'T COMMIT SUICIDE! if u truly feel like suicide, call a loved one right away, and think about the people who would be affected if you weren't here, family, friends, and how much they love you :) I promise things get better! Life is worth living I swear!
