Can you describe Grandiose thoughts in Bipolar disorder please?!

Question: Can you describe Grandiose thoughts in Bipolar disorder please?
I have always thought Grandiose thoughts were just thinking you were the president. I have unintentionally had these but about characters in movies i see. I develop their personality and draw out my life as if it were theres for days or weeks before stopping myself. I opened up for the first time ever to my social worker about them and she said it could be Grandiose thoughts in my bipolar disorder but that schizo-affective have them as well but draw them out longer. I'm confused as if my diagnoses will change or not which is why i want more info on this but we agreed as long as the medicine helps we should not worry about a diagnoses. She said he will increase my anti psychotic most likely.

Answers:

I can give you examples from someone we both know.
Sometimes she thinks birds and squirrels obey her will,
she understands their secret language.
Sometimes she thinks she may have a slight control over the wind,
just enough to ask for a breeze and it comes.
Many times she thinks she is especially protected by the Divine and
angels hover near for her safety.

schizoaffective disorder

grandiose thoughts basically are when you think of yourself as being better than others in some way. it could be that you think you have super-human abilities or think of yourself as a god or anything. Its different from person to person. I hope this helps.
