Is it weird for an antidepressant/depression to only sometimes mess with your ap!

Question: Is it weird for an antidepressant/depression to only sometimes mess with your appetite?
ive been getting help, but im really struggling with my depression, anxiety, and the urge to cut and i started taking 20 mg celexa just over 2 weeks ago so i dont think its done anything yet besides create a couple of side effects (it makes me feel drowsy and sometimes i have like no appetite while other times i have a huge appetite (ive always had a big appetite though; one day i woke up with no appetite and it wasnt until past lunch time before i was hungry, and today all i ate was 2 tacos at like 10 am, its now past 5 pm and im not hungry at all))

Answers:

No, it's not weird. A lot of medications affect appetite in one way or another, causing people to either feel really hungry, or not hungry at all. I'm currently taking one that causes me to want to eat a lot some days, but for the next few days I won't be hungry at all.
