I'm 14, I'm scared. And I need all the help I can get.?!

Question: I'm 14, I'm scared. And I need all the help I can get.?
I am 14, on February 22 I had un-protected sex. Stupid. I know. I was on a scare for a while. But march 1st I received my period. But when it came time for my next one (march 29th) it never came. I'm 7 days late as of today. I have cramps. But no bleeding. My eating habits haven't changed. And I'm extremely stressed because my parents are separating. I need answers. PLEASE HELP!

Answers:

Harlee, I know you're frightened but please try to relax. You've had one period since you had unprotected sex which does reduce the liklihood that you might be pregnant, although it is still possible.

If you have cramps then that's a really good sign your period is about to start. Try and sit this out for a few more days and see what happens.

Please, please don't be having sex at 14. You're far too young to be coping with things like this and when you do have sex next, you must, must, must use a condom. I cannot stress just how important that is.

It's most likely stress causing your period to be late. Between the pregnancy scare and your parents seperating, I'm sure that the stress is causing it.
But, you are 14 and you really shouldn't be having sex, protected or not. I know a couple people that did and one got pregnant and all of their boyfriends broke up with them eventually and they were crushed and were really upset that they had sex so young. The pregnant one ended up getting thrown out of her house and got an abortion. And I'm not an adult telling you this, I'm only a year older than you.

Yes it was stupid to have unprotected sex. Not just because you can get pregnant but for STD's also. You are most likely NOT pregnant if you already had a period. You may be late for your period because you are stressed about having unprotected sex and because your parents are separating. I would suggest you take a home pregnancy test for peace of mine and then make an appt. to see a gynecologist. Get tested for STD's and find out which type of birth control is best for you if you are going to be sexually active. But even if you are on birth control - please use a condom!!!

I'm a Mom:)

Don't worry, the SMALLEST thing can change your cycle:P You say you are stressed right? (sorry about your parents) That is probably the cause of your period being late or not coming at all. Plus you are still young, i am 16 and my period still doesn't come every month. I am sure there is NOTHING for you to worry about. But if you see a change in your eating habits or show any other signs of pregnancy i highly recommend that you go take a pregnancy test. Having unprotected sex is a big risk adn you should always know the consequences when you are about to have sex. I wish you the best of luck :D

Take a pregnancy test. If u haven't got money to buy one, i'm sure if u went to your family planning unit, they cud test u. Try not to worry too much about it, u r young and periods ae irregular when u r young. And if u r stressed out with worrying and your family having problems, this cud be making u late too
Good luck and best wishes

14 and having sex? "Stupid" doesn't begin to cover it.
Go buy a pregnancy test and put your fears to rest, and then talk to your mother about getting her slutty daughter on birth control.
Of course, the pill won't protect you from STDs, but at least it will only be your life you're screwing up.

The best i can help u with is if u have an older friend or cousin u can tell to go and get a preg test n take it...just to be surfe...ur prob not but there is a slight chance u could be since some pregnant women get thier period.Wish u the best n hope ur not cuz ur to young

everything is fine. you got your period you're not pregnant or anything

and you're fourteen. your period is probably still irregular! mine is, even though I've had it since I was 12. (I'm sixteen)

If you ahve crams most probably your period will start later. But remember that unprotected sex can lead to deadly diseases like aids

Maybe wait a few more days and see if you get your period or not. Maybe get a pregnancy test. You'll stress even more if you wait for your next period to come.

stressed is whats doing it
