I feel other people's pain, do you think this is weird?!

Question: I feel other people's pain, do you think this is weird?
Basically, I can feel other people's pain, or their emotions. If I'm watching a movie and someone gets stabbed in the neck, my neck feels like it's been stabbed. And if a friend trips over and hurts their knee, my knee hurts too. Also, I can feel what other people feel. Like if you're really high, and you walk past me, I get this flash of colour and then I know you're high, and I feel it too.

It's called Synesthesia and I was diagnosed when I was six. I tend not to tell people other than close friends and my boyfriend, 'cause I'm worried people will think I'm weird. Do you think it's weird?

Answers:

Truthfully, if thats real, i think its really cool. If i could do that, i think i would go so far as to call it a superpower or psychic ability. i think that you should be proud of this ability, as long as it does not affect your physical health.

I Get the same thing... Its because you know what they are going through but i feel them because i have a weird feeling in my body that is they pass me or i touch them i feel their emotion.. Dont worry many people have gifts like that and diffrnet just be happy your able to bc i know i am :)

Personal

Nope err well I think so, I'm exactly the same. Also even though I exercise regularly and am really fit, whenever I watch other people exercise I get fatigued (as if I'm feeling their fatigue)- its the stupidest thing ever, I have to close my eyes :D

It's abnormal but not weird. There are several scientific theories as to how we (Yes, I can do the same) have this ability. I tend to keep it to myself too. It's just a gift. It makes us unique. We aren't weird.

GUILT YOU IDIOT.

No, its 100% normal. It means you are a loving and caring person! :)

God Bless you!

I think that is REALLY cool!!!

Well I'll keep it honest with you & I do hope you can handle my honesty...

"Weird" is a term made up by people who could not accept the variety and diversity of life.
Its a term often used because not all people understand how to relate to everyone.

So...taking that into consideration you're actually the complete opposite!
& In all seriousness since I do understand what you mean by the question, I feel we are all given a gift
yours is different than mine and mine different then the person next to me...
Once you learn to accept whatever gift you've been given life becomes extremely pleasurable.

Put aside your judgment and if you say your not "judging anyone" well you are sweetie. Your judging your self and you probably are in the habit of judging others since everyone who doesn't judge others won't judge themselves either.

Best Wishes.

Also, think about the people you want to surround yourself with...Do you want friends who walk around being close minded? If not...then attract some open-minded, understanding, wise people in your life.
