Depression/anger, how to make myself happy w/o drugs?!

Question: Depression/anger, how to make myself happy w/o drugs?
I think my anger and depression started coming when my parents were always yelling at eachother nd my dad always hitting my mom in front of me when I was little nd I always got bullied as a kid, now I'm 16 years old. Just ran away from rehab ( which was unbelievably depressing) and I can't stop wanting to hurt people nd I don't really care about nothing anymore nd I'm always keepin my head down nd my self esteem is low nd I've lost alot of friends over street fighting nd I get depressed over little stuff, nd when I smoke or drink I do it alone just to help me feel better about everything nd I just don't know Wat to do anymore nd I just want to be happy w/o drugs

Alcohol and drugs just make you feel good for a short time but long time wow they really mess you up and make you more depressed. Can you handle feeling good for a little bit then feeling awfull for a very long time? Have you ever tried anti depressants...they may really help you if you give them a chance...it might just be what you need to stay off the bad stuff and get yourself back on track. Life can be really hard at times and ok you did what you could with what you had so dont feel bad about yourself you were just trying to survive. Thing is you are smart enough to know that it ain't working for you and you want to change it.

I would get anti depressants and stick with them for a few weeks and see if they agree with you and go for long walks ...nothing too difficult..the walks will help keep the stress away and it will keep you fit. Life is better without drugs....

Been in a bad place..always searching for that better place...need to work at it to get there.

In my experience, physical activity can really help with both depression and anger. I am not a sporty person, but whenever I become depressed and/or angry I find that working our at the gym really calms me down. If you don't have access to a gym you could try running, push-ups, that sort of thing. Personally, I find exercise better than self-mutilation.

you should try to focus al your energy on one or two hobbies that you can become passionate about (ex painting, football, baseball, reading, music, writing, running ect..) and if you ever feel that the world is to much to handle just try to express yourself in a positive way (sounds cheesy what i just said but oh well) through this hobby. if you get what i'm saying....
