How to stop severe procrastination?!

Question: How to stop severe procrastination?
I have to study for my exams. Whenever I do my studies, I keep thinking about other things. Could it be stress? I read for a few minutes and I do something else. I just hope I can stop doing this.

Answers:

I am a terrible procrastinator. I found that I can really only pay attention for 15 mins to a time. So I would set a timer, work for 15 minutes then when the timer went off, take 5 to look away from the screen get up and stretch. Then sit back down and work again. That mixed with listening to Pandora Radio, and setting goals like, "I can buy that new dress if I get all my projects done for the week." Have really helped me get things done. It takes a bit longer to get work done, but at least it's getting done!!

I have ADHD and was a terrible procrastinator.

The hardest part for me is getting started. Once I get started, I'll stick with it for a little while. It doesn't sound like you're having this problem though - it sounds like you get started, but have trouble focusing. My main suggestion is to take a nap (20-30 minutes) and study as soon as you wake up. Taking the nap should clear your mind and you will feel more like studying when you wake up.

just make a goal for ur self and stick by it. or you can time ur self and when u finsh studing for that amount of time reward ur self wit something

use to procrastinate all the time lol!
