Is it normal to be paranoid when you feel like you or the reality around you is !

Question: Is it normal to be paranoid when you feel like you or the reality around you is fake?
i get paranoid when i feel like im fake or the reality around me is fake and it makes me feel secure to have a knife on me, and i realize as one that cuts himself its probably not a good idea so i usually give my knives to my little brothers friend just to end up wanting to cut and getting another knife. ive been getting help, but im really struggling lately and dont think i can be talked out of cutting.

Have a chat with your parents about going to the GP about this and see what they say. Don't keep this to yourself because you don't want to hurt yourself or someone else

That probably would be schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that makes it difficult to tell the difference between real and unreal experiences, to think logically, to have normal emotional responses, and to behave normally in social situations. People with any type of schizophrenia may have difficulty keeping friends and working. They may also have problems with anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts or behaviors. In any case, this is not "normal" as it only affects 1% of people worldwide. You should seriously consider professional consider, as you are a threat to yourself and others around you.

look up depersonalization/derealization - its when you or your world feels unreal, and can make you feel numb...its extremely disturbing and unsettling...so yeah i guess its normal to be paranoid when it happens
