Compulsive liars don't change in my experience. She will only end up backstabbing you and hurting you, infact she probably already is backstabbing you.
Telling anyone won't help your friend to face up to the responsibility of what she's done. I'd suggest that she comes clean or at least stops playing this game. If she's not prepared to do that I'd consider spending less time with her and see if you need to leave this relationship behind to avoid being tarred with the same brush.
Sounds liek she has a psychological disorder. Confronting her won't help her stop, but you might feel better. Either way, she needs professional help.

What you're describing could be someone just being a little obsessive to someone who is very delusional. Either way, its not a good sign. I'd leave that alone and back away slowly.
