What is it like when your antidepressants start to work?!

Question: What is it like when your antidepressants start to work?
ive been on 20 mg celexa for almost 3 weeks which im sure isnt enough time for it to kick in and im really struggling with the urge to cut because im still anxious, depressed, or numb a lot and thus the urge to cut is almost unbearable, but im kinda having an inner conflict; i kinda want to just give in because i dont think anybody cares that much if i cut or not, i dont think i will have a reason to regret it, and cutting feels so much better than fighting the urge; but at the same time i dont want to give in because then if by some coincedence something happens and my mom has to find out that i recently cut i know i would get yelled at, and i dont want to end up in a mental hospital.

Answers:

Call your doctor and let him/her know what is going on because some meds cause suicidle thoughts so you might actually need your meds changed because after 3 weeks you should see some difference.
