What is the average sleep should a teenager get?!

Question: What is the average sleep should a teenager get?
Answers:

I am pretty sure it is about 9 hours. Some high schools are starting later so teens can get more sleep.

8 hours is definitely not enough, according to what I've read.

9-10 hours. However every one is different. Some people can't sleep more than 8 hours but some will need 11. It's about finding the right schedule for you. If you're trying to get a better sleeping pattern I suggest starting at 9 hours and changing it depending on when you wake up or how tired you are.

10 hour sleeper.

Probably about 8 hours. I only get about 6.5 hours and im tired all the time.

They need more sleep than adults. Their brain is in a stage of rapid development.

Pre-teens need the same as adults; around 8 hrs, but teens may need up to 9.5 (www.mercola.com).

Atleast 30 minutes.
