My boyfriend is very stressed, what can i do?!

Question: My boyfriend is very stressed, what can i do?
My boyfriend suffered from depression for four years, then came out of it 2 years ago. He is a lot better, but gets a little down from time to time. Yesterday he got very upset, he was crying a lot, he told me that he feels disconnected from people, doesn't feel like he looks comfortable with people (which he does look comfortable). He feels that people think he's stupid, which they don't. He worries that he is bad at his job, and think customers and colleagues think he's rubbish, which they don't. He told me a lot of things last night. I really want to help him and let him know everything is ok. I'm going to be here for him. I want to something good for him. Show him that he's brilliant.

Answers:

get him out with you doing something. then once you get him out do something you know he enjoys. he might really benefit from some meds like xanax, it sounds like he has anxiety problems too. i have had depression and anxiety problems for years and that was the only really thing that helped me and it really did end up working for me. try to stay away from anti depressants if you can. xanax is just as needed and will mellow him out and calm him and his mind down. from what your describing it sounds exactly like what i have. its really hard to come out of it, im still having bad problems with it but at least he has someone there for him and im sure you are whats keeping him goin. i can tell your from the U.K. the words rubbish and brilliant gave it away. hahhaa. good luck with him.

You can take him for treeking and travelling so his mind will be fresh also you can go for theatre for wathching movies like romantic movies...tx
