HOW AM I GOING TO GET DIAGNOSED?!

Question: HOW AM I GOING TO GET DIAGNOSED?
Sorry for caps, I'm trying to get a little more attention because it's important lol. Well I'm 13, and I talked with the school nurse, and she sent me to this school counselor, and we had a meeting, me my mother my math teacher and my teacher and him. A big meeting apparently. So I told them I'm suspicious of having ADD, and me and my mother filled in a blanket called "SNAP - TEST"

There were questions like "Do you often day dream?" and then you could rate it, like from 1 - 3. And most of them were 2 - 3, except for the hyper - questions. So in about a month I'm going to a doctor, but I don't know what they will do, will they weigh me, check blood pressure..??? or anything like that.

Thanks!

Answers:

If you are going to a family doctor, the doctor will give you a physical that might do a number of tests. A doctor needs to determine your general health before tests for ADD, etc can be done. You should not worry about any of these tests. If you are nervous, you should talk with your mother. I am shure that she is acting in your best interest. The most bothersom part of a physical is a blood test. They really don't hurt and the best way to get through it is to close your eyes. Good luck!
