Answers:

Has the zoloft been prescribed to you or is it a friends? You should never take anti-depressants without being under the care of a doctor: they can work miracles but they can also be quite dangerous.

I often find that if my anxiety level is high then I'm tense or "on edge" which could explain the tightness in your chest. You don't have to be having a panic attack in order for your anxiety level to be high. No energy and motivation are sometimes symptoms of depression, but again, you'll need to see a doctor to get properly diagnosed.

It sounds like you're describing depersonalization (anxiety symptom) and avolition. And you may be having panic attacks with limited symptoms. You don't always have the full "Oh God, I'm going to kill myself this is so bad," dizziness and hyperventilation. Look up depersonalization.

Have bipolar and experience with panic attacks.

It sounds like what you are describing is derealization, depersonalization. If gives you that feeling of
being in a dream like state. This can be caused by anxiety.

Anxiety can also cause shallow breathing. This makes breathing feel difficult because we aren't getting enough air. The best way I have found to help with this is, listen to music you really like and sing to it. Singing will help to regulate your breathing with having to think about it.

Try singing and see if it help with that chest/rips feeling.
About the zoloft, if it is prescribed for you then take it as directed, if it's not your medication you need to see a doctor and see what your doctor would prescribe for you.

I've had anxiety for many years. I understand the derealazation and how hard it can be to breath.
If the pain continues, you might want to go back to the doctor and see if it is a muscle problem caused by the tension from the anxiety.

That idea of life feeling like a dream is exactly how I feel a lot of the time. It's very normal to lack motivation to interact with the outside world when you have depression. The sleepyness makes sense as well.

As for the breathing situation .. it can link to anxiety. The rib pains can possibly be from the burst of anxiety, but do seem quite concerning. Your doctors said all was well though? That's odd ... I would definitely think it has to do with the anxiety then. I've felt those pains before as well, though I've never mentioned them to my doctor.
