Can adults have undiagnosed autism and even pass high school classes and get int!

Question: Can adults have undiagnosed autism and even pass high school classes and get into college?
I know someone people think he has autism, but he is working on a college degree.

Some of the details are not perfectly accurate for sake of confidentiality and simplification

He has a LOT of trouble with people skills.

He behaves less disciplined in social settings than a 7 year old and has worse etiquette and personal hygiene than a 7 year old but he is almost 30 years old. But he is able to arrive at work or school on time usually.

I think didn't his mom teach him so and so when he was 7. But he never listens to what his mom has to say and is very proud about it. So I am wondering does he behave this way because he is so proud he disrespects even his parents or because he has autism.

He has a different kind of face specifically including male pattern baldness since his early twenties if not earlier, some people wondered if he has downs syndrome based on first impression but there has been no official diagnosis that I heard of.

Some people think he has schizophrenia

I am trying to figure out if he has autism or it is just his own choice.

He insists that nothing is forcing him to behave the way he does and it is fine, but other people think he has autism or schizophrenia. He is able to change his behavior temporarily for incentives, but then insists on acting like _ most of the time.

Answers:

definitely I wasn't diagnosed with Aspergers until I was 19. People just thought I was weird and on drugs lol.

Sounds like it could be autism - it's really his own business though.
