Do you think many people suffer from serious depression more than others?!

Question: Do you think many people suffer from serious depression more than others?
Answers:

Yes, I do.

- "I think that mental imbalance is not an inherited trait, but rather the result of the sum of all the tragedies, defeats, betrayals, failures, rejections and humiliation endured during a lifetime."

- "To see clearly into the mind’s confusion, is to live each day with the agony of not knowing the answer to even a single question, yet always seeking it."

- "How do we measure the intensity of emotional hurt in a person? Do we guess? Do we ignore it and hope that it goes away? Is emotional hurt disfiguring? Is it so hideous to others that they are repulsed by it? If so, is the disfigurement life threatening? If it is, can it be repaired? If not, how much does a person have to hurt before they die?"

- "The depressed side of me writes...The euphoric side dreams."

I wrote these things in a journal many years ago. I read (and share) them occasionally to remind myself just how far I have come from those dreary days. I think that if you look for those persons who actually write their feelings down, you will find a significantly depressed person holding the pen.
