Is cutting really like doing drugs?!

Question: Is cutting really like doing drugs?
i mean i guess the "high" from both are comparable (at least in my experience as one that has cut and recreationally done painkillers), but beyond that i think the 2 are very different; not to mention people that cut themselves often dont steal from others/abuse them (metaphorically or otherwise, including family) and only abuse themselves.

Answers:

yes and no.
drugs affect your internal organs, instead of just your epidermis, and therefore, i think that drugs are worse than asmall cut here or there.
also, you can get addicted to cutting. there was a time where if i missed a day cutting, i would get really nervous, and do it trwice as hard the next time tomake up for the lost cuts.

when someone cuts themselves, it's most likely a cry for help. cutting screams "NOTICE ME"

when someone does drugs, they are very careful to keep it a secret from everyone except the friends they do it with.

people who use drugs do not generally steal. of course, if you steal when you do your drugs, i can see why you would think that.

both are done for very different reasons and produce different side effects although similarties do occur as both make the person feel 'high' or euphoric, but they are often compared as both can be addictive and hard to stop doing/taking

Cutting Can Turn Into And Addiction, But I think They Are Very Different.
Drugs Are To Get High, And Cutting Is To Have A Release.

yes
