Am I a bad person or what?!?

Hey, my grandpa has cancer and might die soon. He lives in Florida and he's shared about 2 sentences with me in my whole life. He's never given me a "Happy Birthday" and has never talked to me over the phone. I haven't seen him in 7 years, let alone spoke to him. He also hates my dad, who I am very close to, just because he married my mom. He also starts a lot of fights in our "family." I really don't feel bad that he's dying- everybody else is upset about it except for me. Have I lost it pshycologically? Am I sick minded? Am I evil? Was I born that way? Or is it a result of emotional stress that's melting my heart???

Dear Kitty,
If I was in your situation I would feel the same way. Love is two way, you give what you get, everyone knows that. I side with you on this. Your thoughts and feelings are absolutely adult and realistic.
After reading your post, those around you who may disagree are wrong, (my opinion only). People like this are in everyones life, like an obsticle. Sometimes It's best to just go around them and drive on. No disrespect to the person you wrote of...this applies to anyone.
