How do u tell if?

u have a infected cut cause i thunk some of mine are & i dont relly wont 2 tell my parents or C a Dr. so what can i do?

p.s. i dont want 2 tell them cause i cut myself & the cuts that might be infected are around alot of other cuts i have given my self

I JUST PUT IT UNDER HEAR CAUSE THATS WHAT IT WAS UNDER WHEN I ASKED

There is no way for any of us to see a cut. It can be red, swollen, warm to the touch, sore, fluid coming out of it, etc. There are over the counter creams such as Neosporin and then also Hydrogen Peroxide you can use but if it is badly infected you will really need to go see a Dr. to get it treated before it leads to worse things. It is good that you are trying to stop. I used to cut. It would be best if you told your parents so they could take you to a Dr. If you are seen by a Dr. they will not only give you something to help heal your wounds but can refer your parents to some good Psychologists and therapists. You started cutting for a reason. Cutting is a coping mechanism even though it is unhealthy and you need to be able to talk to someone to get to the root of why you are cutting in order to stop. You will find better ways to deal with stressful and anxiety provoking situations. I wish you the best~
