I also would like to add what I'm worrying about @ the moment:

my grandpa's in the hospital with cancer, my dad lost his job, my family's broke, my little brother has ADHD and is overly aggresive with me, my mom is always at work, my favorite cousin (the only one that will speak to me) finds me annoying, my family is always fighting with each other, my friends always want to see me (on the same day!!!), Dad never gives me time to think (he calls it "hiding"), and i'm turning 13 on July 19th!!! Ugh! I think that's it for now.

Dear Kitty:

I am so, so sorry you are having to deal with all of this STRESS when all you should be doing is enjoying being a kid! This is NOT fair. I never had to worry about anything when I was growing up because my parents were next to perfect. So, I don't know how it feels to be you.

As a 49-year-old woman, I can relate to how you are feeling because I have gone through horrible times AFTER I left home.

There is NOTHING I can do to fix your situation. All I can tell you is that I enjoy your questions and your answers to me very much.

What I can suggest is that you look at your life cup as 1/2 full rather than 1/2 empty. Things could be MUCH worse, although I am certain you don't think so right now.

Spend your time being kind, loving, helpful, patient, generous, sweet, forgiving and all of those good things and you will get through this all okay because you will have the most important thing: YOU!

If you are a good person, you will make it through all of this. Don't let all of these heartaches drag you down into making unwise choices for yourself like using drugs, smoking, having inappropriate relations with boys, etc.

Plan for your future and do everything in your power to make certain that you educate yourself well so that you are able to have a good job and be able to provide a wonderful home for your children which is free from all of this type of stress that is bothering you so much!

My thoughts are with you and I hope the best for you! Happy early birthday sweetie! Things are really going to get better! You won't have to live with all of this forever, now will you!?
