REALLY NEED HELP (please read)?!

Question:

REALLY NEED HELP (please read)?

Hello. When I was a child I would get involved in many activities, sports. I was a very good student. At work I used to be very responsible. But now I feel so unmotivated. Nothing excites me. Sometimes I don´t feel like doing anything. Not even watch a movie. I want to change, be like I was before. My actual situation: I quit my job. Don´t have a boyfriend. I am going to a psychiatrist and I am on medication for depression an anxiety: (cymbalta and zyprexa). Your advice will be helpful

Answers:

Hi,

I understand completely how you are feeling right now. It's good that you have been given medications. It does take some time to see the effect of some, & one of the major side effects of the meds you are taking is feeling groggy. That should become more tolerable the longer you have been taking it. At any rate, with the medications, please tell your doctor every side effect that you experience, so that he can adjust your dose, change meds. etc.. I took many different kinds before I found one that worked.

As for the despondent, horrible way you feel right now...please understand that so many, many people all over the world feel exactly the same as you feel right now! And that means that you aren't alone. Your feelings are valid & real so ignore people who tell you to "just smile"!. What you want to do right now is surround yourself with laughter, happiness and people. Watch only funny shows on tv (don't watch too much), read funny stories, watch people who are laughing....then keep telling yourself that you can be happy...as many times in a day as possible. Wake up in the morning and thank God that you are alive, and thank Him for allowing you to have a good day.

Best of luck okay. I've been through it too, so if you need to talk, please e-mail me. I'm here for you okay.

Take care hon
Robin
