Please help me! I can't sleep!?!


Question:

Please help me! I can't sleep!?

Okay,
I've tried it all. But I think it's just stress.
I believe i have insomnia.
I've tried-
sleep aids
listening to smooth jazz
just laying in the dark
watching tv
not eating or drinking before bed


I can't think of anything else. I'm 13 and on my summer vacation!
What's wrong with me!!!
Please help!

It's been happening for about three weeks. Me and my dad haven't been getting along and I think its stress from that.

I'm on the computer asking and researching b/c i've been laying in bed since 9. It just bothers me to the point of tears.

First of all, there is no specified amount of, or time to sleep in a day. the amount of sleep u need varies a lot with age, physical activity and other parameters. so dont panic about not being able to sleep. As long as you wake up refreshed in the morning, and dont have excessive daytime sleepiness, you are getting along fine.
But, if you still feel that you are not able to sleep well or long enough, here are a few tips.
a)no caf drinks after six in the evening
b)try changing the place you sleep in.. it helps a lot of times.
c)dont indulge in heavy exercises before you sleep. exercise increases the bmr of the body, keeping your temperature elevated for upto eight hours.
d)try cinnamom tea.it really works.
