Klonopin vs Xanax?!

Question:

Klonopin vs Xanax?

I have heard that Xanax is faster at stopping a panic attack, but that Klonopin lasts longer.

I currently take Xanax, and it does work super fast if I am havign a panic attack, and yes, it does wear off after like 3 or 4 hours.

How long does the Klonopin take to work for a panic attack? Does it work for panic attacks?

How long does it keep you calmed down? Does it really last longer than Xanax?

I appriciate all opinions given here.

Thanks guys!

Answers:

Xanax(alprazolam) and Klonopin(clonazepam) are both highly addictive drugs... because both are absorbed rapidly and reach peak plasma concentration... high concentration of a benzodiazepin causes generally euphoria... that a situation a person feels much better than normal... using xanax as anti panic agent can be accepted a little rational approach... because it is impossible to show xanax effect before 20-25 mins. after oral administration... and many attacks end in 30 mins. if an anxiety attack lasts longer than 30 mins. it must be thought an additional constitution rather than isolated panic attack. clozapin is a long lasting bezdiazepin and has bone marrow suppression effect, and convulsion (seizure) risk while abstinence or reduction of plasma concentrations make this drug far from daily using... for panic or panic disorder paroxetine long term administration is nearly specific as an SSRI. But other SSRIs are also very effective in panic treatment. shortly, before a performance with big efforts, or exciting, for long anxiety reactions or some treatment of excitations, xanax and clonapin can be used for a short time .. but for panics ..maybe very different clinical conditions..
