Hi Brandy,
I'm guessing you suffer from low self-esteem.I don't know what age you are,but sometimes it's just a phase that especially young girls go through. We have a tendency to compare ourselves to other people that we admire. That's the worst thing you can do.
First off,EVERYONE has something positive we can focus on.Find your unique feature. It doesn't have to be a physical feature, maybe you have a quick wit.Or,maybe you are artistic.Physical beauty, maybe you have beautiful eyes, hair, skin, etc.Focus on the positive, and think nothing but positive thoughts. When you find yourself thinking negative,STOP,and start thinking positive thoughts. It can take awhile to train your brain to stop the negative, but it can be done.
If you hang out with people that judge others, find new friends.People that find something wrong with everyone, are insecure themselves. It makes them feel "superior" to point out something "they" find "wrong" with other people. That is a very ugly trait. It doesn't matter how beautiful a person may be,if they judge or analyze others, they themselves are miserable inside.Check out the first four letters in analyze, and thats the type of person you're dealing with.
Finally,if you just can't get it out of your head that you're being judged by others, then go talk to a physchiatrist. You may suffer from depression. But please, don't just see a regular doctor. They'll just put you on any kind of anti-depressant.You need the right meds for you.
I suffered for YEARS,thinking something was wrong with me.I was put on every kind of drug there was.I finally got smart, and saw a physchiatrist, and what a difference! I,like allot of other people, grew up hearing things from my parents that were not so nice.I was emotionally abused.I waited till I was in my 40's to get help.Don't wait that long,if you need help, get it.There is nothing wrong with realizing you need help.No one has to know that you're in therapy and/or on medication. But,just remember, you are unique.Embrace your indivualism. The kind of people you surround yourself with, can make ALL the difference in the world.
Good luck sweetie,and God bless.
Jiane
P.S. If anyone around you, gives you "advice" or offers "suggestions" or "opinions" on how you should act, think,or be.And you haven't asked for their input, then pay no attention to it.And if it's a person that does this all the time, then kindly tell them that you didn't ask for their input. And you would appreciate them keeping their thoughts about you,to themselves.
