What are the damaging effects?
What internall problems do you think a person who was raised by a mother who did every drug under the sun under her child was 15 years of age. How do you think this would effected ones life and shaped ones personality?
Answers:
Only if the person lets it. There are so many people in the world (Oprah, James Robison for example) who have had bad childhoods but have gone on to become very successful.
Up until the age of 18, you can't help it. But once you're an adult, your life is your own. You can make your own choices, seek help if you need it, and master your own life.
Or... you can remain a victim and let your childhood be your excuse for everything.
