Is Anybody Else Bipolar??!
Question:
Is Anybody Else Bipolar??
I was diagnosed as being Bipolar when I was 18 (I'm 24 now) and I tried every drug imaginable until I was put on Lithium Carbonate 2 1/2 years ago. Its the only thing that keeps me level most of the time. I was just wondering though, do the changes in the atmospheric pressure affect me more than most people because I am bipolar? I've noticed that like a few hours before it starts to rain I get SUPER depressed. my friends and family notice too, they're like "its gonna rain today isnt it" everytime i get the least bit b*tchy. its awful. i was just wondering if anybody else experienced this. it's been raining here since yesterday and i am about in tears. :(

interesting theory, Tim. I just wonder why the depression just hits me even before its raining, while its still sunny, when theres no sign of a cloud. (i dont usually check the weather either cause i'm worried that if i DO know when its gonna rain that the anticipation will make it worse)

I am and I experience the same thing, but with me, it's the other way around. When it's raining, my manic invincibility feeling kicks in and I feel like I'm always on some kind of mission. Incliment weather makes me feel unexplainably badass.
I don't think it has to do with the pressure though, more to do with visual input. I suppose the test would be to get a bunch of Bi-polar people inside without windows and interview them during differant weather or by increasing the air pressure within the building.
