as in can coffee make u slim as well

It's the caffeine in the coffee that keeps you from sleeping. If you drink black coffee without sugar or cream it can make you loose weight due to the caffeine. However if you drink flavored coffee like lattes and mochas the sugar in the drinks will offset any weight loss you might get from the caffeine.

The caffeine raises your metabolism and stresses your body out. So once your off the caffeine your body will make you suffer by first giving you a migraine headache and making you feel really tired all day - just like other drugs. Your body will get its rest to make up for the stress and any weight you might loose you will gain back.

There is caffeine in sodas and teas as well. Sometimes its more than regular coffee.

Another bad way to loose weight is by smoking. The nicotine in the cigarettes is also a stimulant which does many of the same things like caffeine. The problem with smoking is all the stuff in it to make it taste good and burn correctly. Those stuff are known to cause cancer - not really surprising since you're inhaling smoke! But the upside is that you will be losing weight.
